DC CHOKES
We offer application-specific design and manufacturing solutions.
DC choke coils are passive components in electronic circuits that provide protection against sudden voltage changes. These coils have high inductance values and limit sudden current surges, preventing damage to other components of the circuit.
HOW IT WORKS
Inductance Property: The basic property of coils is their resistance to changes in the current flowing through them. That is, when the current changes, the coil generates a voltage that tries to prevent sudden changes in the current. In this way, other components in the circuit are not affected by sudden voltage changes.
PURPOSES OF USE
Noise Filtering:
It filters high-frequency noise generated by electronic circuits, ensuring more stable circuit operation.
Protection Against Voltage Fluctuations:
Protects the circuit against sudden voltage spikes, helping extend its service life.
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Reduction:
Reduces interference with other electronic devices by attenuating high-frequency signals that cause EMI.
AREAS OF APPLICATION
DC choke coils have a wide range of applications. Some of these are:
Motor Drivers:
Used in circuits that draw high current, such as motor drivers, to limit sudden current changes.
Power Supplies:
Used in power supplies to prevent voltage fluctuations at inputs and outputs.
Power Supply Circuits for Electronic Devices:
Used in computer and mobile phone power supply circuits for noise filtering and protection.
Communication Systems:
Used in communication systems to improve signal quality and reduce interference.
Important Note: When selecting choke coils, a suitable product (in terms of voltage, current, frequency, etc.) should be chosen.
An incorrectly selected coil may not provide the desired protection or may even damage the circuit. Optional technical specifications:
