Single Phase Auto Type Transformers

Single-phase auto-type transformers are engineered to adjust output voltage by the input voltage in single-phase electrical systems where electrical isolation is not a prerequisite. Their primary function is to manage voltage levels for equipment that necessitates a voltage different from the primary input.
These transformers are available in various wiring configurations to meet specific voltage requirements. Standard configurations encompass series and parallel arrangements of the primary and secondary windings.

In auto-type transformers, the primary and secondary windings share a portion of the same winding, contributing to their compact nature and cost-effectiveness compared to isolation-type transformers.
The technical specifications for the auto-type transformers described below are established through mutual agreement with the customer to ensure accuracy and prevent product errors. Once all specifications are confirmed, a sample transformer accompanied by routine test reports is produced and provided to the customer. Following comprehensive evaluations, production is finalized, and the completed products are presented for customer approval.

       Key specifications include:

  • Nominal power
  • Input and output voltage levels
  • Current values at output taps
  • Connection materials for input and output terminals
  • Isolation class
  • Type of metal cabinet and ventilation
  • Mounting configuration (horizontal or vertical)

OMSAN can manufacture dry-type, low-voltage, single-phase auto-type transformers with power ratings of up to 100 kVA. These transformers can be customized with a range of input and output connections, including rail terminals, device terminals, cable lugs, or busbars, and are supplied with cabinets as required.
